Renault Scenic MPV 2017

SUVs have become known as the smart purchase for family car buyers and Renault is aware of this and it resulted in the Captur and Kadjar releases, however Renault has decided to also stay true to its roots, which brought about the release of the all new Scenic 2017. Arriving 20 years after the original Scenic made its debut; the vehicle is available in five seat or seven seat models and has had a major appearance overhaul. It no longer has a bulbous design and has clearly been inspired by the Kadjar, the scenic is longer and wider than its predecessor, but it has a lower body. The new Renault Scenic adds the option of hybrid power to the usual diesel and petrol choices; this is a promise by Renault of great improvements in economy and reductions in CO2 emissions. The fourth generation Scenic is the first to be offered with a hybrid engine, Renault calls this Hybrid Assist, this is known as a mild hybrid meaning that the diesel engine does most of the work most of the time. With the government trying to enforce more laws and legislation about diesel cars it is important for more vehicle manufacturers to be offering these options for car buyers who prefer the driving style of a diesel car.

All Renault Scenic’s are fitted with 20 inch wheels which are much bigger than what would usually be seen on this class of car and thanks to its large tyre sidewalls provides a comfortable ride. Driven carefully this vehicle can provide a smooth ride, but if it takes corners too hard its body will lean heavily. Inside the Scenic is brightly lit and comes with a large infotainment system complete with sat-nav which is positioned in portrait offering something different than the usual. Plush materials have been used on the dashboard, but it is in danger or coming off as too plastic the further down the door you get. The Renault Scenic can tow up to 1300kg and can do so with ease. If you’re interested in towing then we can supply and fit towbars to the new Renault Scenic.

The Renault Scenic has class-leading boot space with 572 litres of luggage space, If the rear passengers do not mind sitting on their knees, there is the option to extend this to 720 litres by sliding the rear seats forward, however the 572 is a large amount of space available and is substantial enough to carry family luggage when towing a caravan. The different levels of equipment within the car are in direct correlation with the models of the car, the higher the model the higher the trim is. The Renault Scenic is geared entirely towards family driving and even has four under floor storage compartments for the use of the rear passengers which boosts the space available for secondary storage to 63 litres within the cabin.
