Speed Sensing Module

This module is designed to turn off certain pieces of electronic equpiment above given speeds to eliminate confusion to the vehicle operator and nuisance to the general public.

Eg. this can be used to disengage front parking sensors from working after 6mph is reached.

Ideally suited to front or side sensor systems, the unit will disengage sensor systems when the vehicle is travelling over certain speeds.

The unit is completely encapsulated so it can be fitted inside or outside the cab and has a handy mounting bracket.

The unit needs to be powered directly from the vehicle; RED is positive and BLACK is ground.

There are 3 tab terminals in the unit, marked on the fitting instructions:

• Speed in - on the bottom right this needs to be connected to plug B, Pin 8 on the back of the Tachograph and it will give the input signal to operate the unit.
• Output - this would be connected to the green lead from the Indicator Alarmalight to Activate it at the required speed.
• Override - this is generally NOT used for the Indicator Alarmalight as it is used more commonly for frontsensors it can be connected to either a switch on the dashboard or the handbrake as it means the vehicle is not moving therefore the Indicator Alarmalight or Front Sensors do not need to be active, as it would cause confusion.

This unit will not affect the can bus system on vehicles.
